INCREASE IN CONSUMPTION PRICES
WILLEMSTAD – CBS indicates an increase of consumption prices of 0.5% compared to the prices in December of 2016.
The Consumer Price Index, CPI for yanuary increased with 0.5%. In december it was 124.2 and in yanuary it was 124.8
The more notable change in prices was the increase of the minimum wages with 10% and a decrease of fuel and gasoil of 5%.
The CPI in yanuary 2017 was 124.8 and in yanuary 2016 this was 123.8 which means an increase of 0.8% During the last 12 months the prices stayed stable. The inflation for yanuary 2017 is 0.0 Over the last two years the consumers price had a period of inflation and later a period of deflation and the last two months there was stabilization, so there was no inflation and no deflation. This according to results presented by CBS.
